Dr. Thorp is considered to be one of the best enemies of casino owners at his time. Although colleagues and fellow scientists agreed to his theories, casino owners are worried about facts that are presented in his book. They ended up changing some of the rules to keep their share of high house advantage. After casino players boycotted the change of rules, casino owners and players made a consensus to use four decks of cards instead of single deck at Blackjack tables.
